Do you Need Free Phone Service?

A mobile phone, is a real necessity in today’s world, especially for the sick and elderly. That is why we want to get this information out to the public!  Lifeline makes communication possible for those who are unable to afford mobile phone service. The Lifeline Assistance program, supported by the federal Universal Service Fund, make these services possible.  For years, the government and FCC have been helping disadvantaged households with discount landline service through this program.

The cell phone was not a part of the program until instituted, during the Bush administration.  So the term, “Obama phone.” is totally inaccurate in describing the program, stick.  Now that cell phones are the predominant means of communication, the program now included cell phones.

  1. Val, I am glad someone was nice enough to give you a phone. I is a helpful program!

  2. Great work! That is the kind of information that should be shared around the net. Disgrace on Google for now not positioning this put up higher! Come on over and talk over with my site . Thank you =)

  3. My brother is autistic and has had a regular cell phone for a while. The bill can sometimes get really high because he is always online or just wasting time calling anyone who will pick up. Which company has an easy to use phone that is basic and rugged?

    1. Most of the plans will give you at least 250 free minutes. Because your brother is a chatterbox, he will have to purchase more time then that is gone. I know reachout has an option to upgrade a phone. They range from $29 to $79. You just have to fine one that he likes.

  4. I have a friend who uses the Assurance phone and he seems to really like it. I think it is really good how much information your site has about these phones.
