This is a regional Lifeline assistance free government cell phone provider. Yourtel provides a no-cost cell phone and up to 250 free cell phone minutes a month to eligible customers.

Yourtel Wireless is not a top Lifeline provider, but its regional service helps millions of low-income consumers in, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Washington, and Rhode Island. This provider is offers free government phones.

There are no credit checks no contracts and not activation fees. When you qualify, you will receive a cell phone and free cell talk and text minutes every month. Of course, these phones are available, only when you qualify financially.

How to Apply for Yourtel Wireless Phone Service

Call to request an application or, go to the Yourtel Wireless website to apply for a free government phone. You must also submit proof of income or a letter from the government agency you are enrolled in.  If you are approved for the program, you have the option of  choosing one of three plans:

Lifeline Plan 250 – The Lifeline Plan 250 provides 250 free talk minutes and one minute per text sent and received.   Oklahoma resident,  pay $4.56 monthly plus fees and taxes.

The Lifeline plan offers 250 free talk minutes. Text messages cost one minute per text sent and received. Any minutes not used by the month’s end will be lost. There are no rollover minutes.  Lifeline Plan 250 serves all states Yourtel Wireless provides service, except Oklahoma.

Oklahoma Unlimited Talk Text Plan

This plan offers unlimited talk text and internet access for $3.99 per month plus fees and taxes. Text messages cost one minute per text sent and received.   This plan is only available to Oklahoma residents who live on Tribal Lands.

Wireless Lifeline Service Unlimited Talk or Text Plan Tribal $3.99

Each month you will receive unlimited talk or text for $3.99 per month plus fees and taxes. Text messaging will be assessed at a rate of 1 minute per text message for sending and 1 minute per text message for receiving text messages.   This plan is limited to Oklahoma residents living on Tribal Lands.

Oklahoma Lifeline 1000 Plan

This plan provides 1000 voice minutes or 1000 text messages for $1.00 a month plus fees and taxes. Text messaging costs  1 minute per text message sent and received. Any monthly minutes not used will be lost.  No rollover minutes.     This plan only serves Oklahoma residents.

Are You Eligible?

Yourtel Wireless service may vary depending on the state you live in. Eligibility is determined by your income.  If your total household income is at or below 135% to 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, you qualify for the free cellular phone program.

You also qualify if, you are currently enrolled in a public assistance program, like,  Public Housing Assistance/Section 8, Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Low-Income Energy Assistance Program) (LIEAP, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), The National School Lunch Program’s Free Lunch Program, and Women, Infants and Children (WIC).
